4. INTERVALS - the distances between two tones.

A minor third, a perfect fifth, an octave... These are names of intervals and are distinct from each other by the number of semitones between the two pitches. Recognizing some of the intervals in your repertoire can be a great tool in your cellistic toolbox.

The first interval on the page is played with the open D string and the second finger in the 4th position on the G string. The rest of the intervals are easier to play!
